About me

Image "Ueber_mich:JoyOfYoga_Ueber_mich_1.jpg"Originally from the area of dance (jazz, modern, ballet), I began my journey to yoga in 2009. In over 600 hours at the Institute of Yoga and Health in Cologne I studied to become a “yoga teacher advanced” recognized by the BYY (German yoga federation), with an emphasis on therapeutic and pre-emptive aspects of yoga in groups or with individuals (nada brahma therapy, hatha yoga, craniosacral yoga, astanga yoga, vinyasa flow yoga and kundalini yoga).
In my yoga courses I teach hatha yoga, vinyasa or flow yoga and hormone yoga, and integrate aspects of yoga therapy and principles of dance and pilates which are gentle on the body and protect the back.

Yoga fascinates me not only due to the deep and holistic physical processes but also the building of awareness and mental training.
Body and mind are seen in unity and connected through breathing techniques. Through a combination of breathing, body and mind yoga cleans, strengthens and harmonizes our whole system much more comprehensively and deeply as other forms of physical exercise. As we are working on these physical, mental and emotional levels, yoga is able to activate the body's natural self-healing capacity.

Yoga allows the mind to repose. We sharpen our awareness and enhance our capability to live "in the now". Letting go goes hand in hand with lightness and lightness creates a more positive basic attitude to life.
"The value of yoga cannot be described, it has to be experienced.“
(B.K.S. Iyengar, founder of Iyengar yoga)
